Little Known Secrets
Hi everyone!
I'd like to write today about an experience I had yesterday that can correlate to your business, too.
We purchased a 2006 Honda Odyssey earlier this year. While visiting family in Fort Wayne, IN a few weekends ago, I noticed a rough grinding sound when I put on the brakes. It didn't happen but just that one time, so I wasn't too concerned, but made a mental note to tell Adam when we returned home (he had to stay and work). We came back home and it happened one more time that next week. We called the dealership and they had us bring it in. Turns out that they needed to replace the front brake rotors and pads - taking about 3 hours in all to fix. The last time I was there for an oil change, I noticed a sign that had 'Telephone & Internet Access' with 2 small booths. So, knowing that this could be a lenghty visit, I came prepared and brought my laptop and stuff to work on while I waited. They don't advertise this 'Little-Known Secret' on any of their TV advertisements or newspaper ads, but I was a very tickled-pink customer knowing that I could download emails and set-up a little office in the afternoon while I waited for them to fix our car. About half-way through, someone walked by with a clear plastic cup with some yummy pink frozen concoction inside - they must have seen the drool on my chin as they told me to go around the corner and you'll see the machine. What a special surprise to find this 'Little-Known Secret' awaiting me - a frozen slushie machine with 2 fruity flavors to choose from! Now again, the Honda Dealership didn't advertise this special treat, it's just there for their visitors to enjoy.
This got me thinking. What special 'Little-Known Secrets' do you have in your business that most of your customers don't know about? Do you give a free gift or sample with every purchase? Do you have a holiday open-house that you invite your customers to every year? Do you offer personalized beauty consultations to for your customers? Do you specialize in Fundraising efforts that could help their Gymnastics team pay for competitions? Do you only send mark. Magalogs to those who fit the age demographic - but perhaps have some older customers that are missing out on this line of products? Do you recruit for Avon and have your own team - but don't offer the opportunity for each of your customers to do so for themselves?
The possibilities are endless. This also got me thinking to what 'Little-Known Secrets that Consultant Depot has to offer. So, some of these you may know, but others you may not - but none-the-less, here are some potential 'Little-Known Secrets' from us that you may not have known:
*Consultant Depot mails out not only the core brochures, but we also offer the Outlet catalogs, the mark. Magalogs and the Mens catalogs, too! (We used to mail the BeComing catalogs, the Inspirational Treasures, and the Wellness catalogs when they were available.)
*We have a Referral Program where we reward our clients that tell others about our services at Consultant Depot by awarding them with FREE mailing credits for their referred friends first 6 months of mailings!
*We are a family owned and operated business that has been helping others reach their customers through direct mail since 2003.
*Since that time, we have sent out an estimated 130,000+ items in the mail to our clients' customers.
*We started a charity program in January 2006 where we ask our clients to send us the charities that mean the most to them and have the visitors to our website vote on the winner each month.
*We have hired our first employee outside of our family to help us with administrative tasks, Tracy!
*We have a monthly flyer mailing program called our Mystery Mailings, where you can design your own flyer/newsletter and we'll print it, process it, and mail it for you!
*If a brochure arrives in an unstately condition, we will mail your customer another brochure at first-class rate.
That's it - if I think of anymore, I will let you know. I hope you have enjoyed today's Blog post - feel free to share any of your 'Little-Known Secrets' as a comment to this post!
Have a great day!

Consultant Depot Charity Poll Hits All-Time Record!
Hi everyone!
We hope you are having a great summer so far! I attended our local district meeting earlier this week and was amazed at the turn-out that came to the sales meeting, especially for being a summer meeting. We had the highest attendance that we've had in a very long time and it was nice to see some old and NEW faces again!
We are a little 'Shocked & Awed' at the participation levels for this month's 'Choose Our Charity' Consultant Depot monthly poll for June! As it stands now, at 5:20 pm on Wednesday, June 21st - we have 9,735 votes!! I was even contacted by someone who works for one of these charities earlier this week personally! It appears the power of word-of-mouth is strong as the votes have climbed up higher and higher. We are proud to be able to raise more awareness for the charities that mean the most to our clients - thank you for your participation in our poll this month and in the months to follow. Please feel free to email us a charity that is close to your heart and watch for your charity to be featured in an upcoming 'Choose Our Charity' monthly poll!

Consultant Depot Saves You Money!
I was reviewing some reports on the back-end of my website this morning when I came across an astounding figure... According to our estimates, only since April 25th (the launch date of our new website), Consultant Depot has saved our clients approximately $16999.05 at the post office!!! This is in just 1 1/2 months of time! Can you imagine if we had this data from the starting point of our business over 2 1/2 years ago? I will periodically update our blog readers on this stat as we grow - it feels so great to know that we've been able to make that much of a difference already in your pocketbooks!
So, we hope you have enjoyed and plan to enjoy our brochure mailing service for Avon representatives for years to come - as well as relish in that extra cash that you are saving, too!
I wonder if we had a mechanism to tally up the time we've saved our clients, how many years off their lives we have saved... something to ponder!
To Success!

Avon Convention in 2007 - help make it happen!
Hi everyone!
A prominent SEUL has put the word out that Avon may consider aConvention in 2007 if they feel they have enough interest from the representatives. If you would be interested, please print off this flyer and mail it to the address provided.
Here's the link for theflyer: http://tinyurl.com/ouaka
Here is the message in another yahoo group from the SEUL:
Hi Everybody,
When we were in New York at the Leadership Advisory Council Meeting, the subject was brought up about Avon doing another Convention. There hasn't been one in four years. The reason why they haven't done another one is because they didn't think enough reps would be interested. We want to let Avon know that there IS interest. Please click the link below, and if you are interested in a 2007 Convention, please print out, fill it out, and send to Joe Billonein New York. Our goal is to have 20,000 letters on Joe's desk. Also, make copies to distribute to your downline and fellow reps in your district. This is in NO WAY, a commitment to attend. We justwant to let Avon know how much interest there is.
Thanks for helping us spread the word.

New Homeowner Listings in Newspapers Trial
Hi everyone!
A few weeks back, we had a client ask us about any successful experiences with Avon Representatives sending out brochures to the new homeowners listed in the local newspapers. We didn't hear from anyone regarding their experiences (even though I know of some that have used this method) so I decided to give a try for myself! I will share my results with you here in a few weeks with how it turned out.
In my personal experiences with selling Avon, I have come across more customers than I can count that were still buying Avon from their old representatives where they used to live because they didn't know of anyone locally that could give them a brochure. In fact, all of them never received a brochure anymore and were expected to visit their e-rep website online or email their regular favorites. While there is nothing wrong with this method, I am of the belief that the brochure is such a powerful selling tool and should always be made available to be seen in your customers' hands. There is just something to be said about being able to flip through an Avon catalog at your leisure. If only I had been able to reach those Avon representatives where they were still purchasing from and offer them our brochure mailing services! Maybe then they would have chosen to stay with them and not have eventually lost their sales!
My plan is to send them a catalog for 3 campaigns straight - and then at the end of that time, use our Mystery Mailing service to send them a flyer letting them know that they can easily join my mailing list by sending me an email or giving me a call! We mailed out 300 catalogs - I will let you know of our response!
If you have a similar selling experience, please feel free to share! I encourage you to always leave a comment on any blog entry you choose! We LOVE to hear feedback!

Referral Incentive Program May Announcements
Hi Everyone!
I hope you have enjoyed your first weekend of June!
I worked on the Referral Program credits today for all of those that have registered on our website since we launched on April 25th of this year. I emailed all of the Referrees, if you will, and congratulated them on their successful referrals through the end of May. If a client you referred to us made their first purchase in April or May, you have an email in your inbox to show for your efforts! All of their purchases through the end of November (6 months) will be added up and the referrees will receive $1.00 in Consultant Depot credits for every $20.00 increment they spend! Over time, this can really add up, especially if you continually add new referrals each month! We have some clients receive $100's of mailing credits each and since we began, we have awarded over $1500 AT LEAST in FREE mailing credits!
Adam & I believe in Consultant Depot and it is so refreshing to know that others feel the same way. During this past week, we had over 50 different clients request a copy of our Handout Flyer either by email or being sent via snail mail to hand out to Avon Representatives in their district. That is just so amazing to us! Thank you, in advance, for your time and effort - hopefully you will all reap the benefits when your referrals sign up at www.consultantdepot.com!
If you would like to learn more about our Referral Incentive Program, please don't hesitate to send us an email or visit: http://www.consultantdepot.com/benefits/referral_program.aspx
For those of you who received a congratulatory email from us, thank you so much for your efforts in helping us spread the word about Consultant Depot! It is truly appreciated!

What Do I have in common with Julia Roberts?
I read in my paper today, the Columbus Dispatch, that Avon will soon close the deal on signing up Julia Roberts to be a spokeswoman - earning between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 a year! :) I think this is fantastic news and I hope it all irons out. Can you imagine that beautiful world-reknown face on the cover of our Avon brochures? I didn't think that they could top Salma Hayek, but they did!
Congratulations to Avon, Julia, and all Avon Representatives on this exciting news! I'm not sure it's been made official yet, but it surely did get my attention!
