Consultant Depot grew from one Avon Sales Representative’s need to save time and gas and, most importantly, spend more time with her family!

That’s me, Carrie Purgason. In 2002, after the birth of my son, I left the 9 to 5 corporate environment and decided to work from home. I could be with my son, take advantage of a more flexible workday schedule, and maintain a connection with the business world. I decided to sell Avon.

Selling Avon turned out to be such a great experience. I really enjoyed my involvement with the Avon community as I canvassed neighborhoods and met so many new people. Within months, I had the very good fortune of gaining hundreds of Avon customers and I was beginning to notice that the quality time I so wanted to have with my son seemed to involve the two of us logging a lot of travel time as we delivered Avon brochures and product orders.

I was struggling. With so much of my success based in personal contact and service, how could I serve my current customers, continue to grow my business, and have time for friends, family, and a home life? I’m a motivated person, there had to be an option…

So, I decided to buy a bulk mail permit. I would try mailing my Avon brochures to my customers. The response and results of this simple idea were amazing! First of all, direct mail enhanced my customer service – my customers loved receiving the brochures in the mail every two weeks. And, my sales skyrocketed! My time management efforts became vastly more successful, which meant more time with my son, and I was saving money!

As I succeeded with this new idea, I ended up mailing brochures for some of my downline representatives and, through word-of-mouth, I started mailing brochures for a few other Avon representatives. They experienced the same positive results! And, with that a true business was born.

My family has grown with the birth of my daughter in 2005, and my husband Adam and I have worked together to make Consultant Depot a quality, economical direct mail option.

Since 2003, Consultant Depot has processed over 1,000,000+ pieces of mail serving clients in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We pulled onto the information highway with online client support that includes online payment processing and creating a client community. We expanded our service to include the entire selection of Avon brochures and we offer all kinds of exclusives, incentives, and rewards to involve our clients and keep Consultant Depot’s services vital and important. And, on average, by using Consultant Depot, our clients save 4-6 hours a week!

We are also very proud to announce our corporate citizenship program where our clients choose a charity each month for Consultant Depot to support.

We are looking toward an exciting future, as we update our website, and expand our services to other direct mail venues.
